CV

Throughout the years, Kacper Skowron has proven to be a visionary cinematographer without limits. His ability to envision and create powerful, cinematic experiences with a plethora of different directors is notable.  Born and raised in the mountains of Poland, Kacper shared a natural inclination toward nature, life, humanity and exploration. His early college years in Chicago were spent in art and ceramics classes which later transitioned into photography.

While in school, he began photographing weddings and soon after was drawn to commercial and fashion photography. With the help of great mentors like Richard Izzui, Andy Goodwin, and Martin Schoeller, Skowron flourished and eventually opened up his own studio. In 2004 Skowron returned to school to pursue cinematography and earned his Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College in Chicago in 2007. Soon after, he relocated to Los Angeles to continue pursuing his passion.

As a Director of Photography, Kacper’s growth did not go unnoticed, and soon he was hired by Jason Horton for his first feature film “The Congregation”. He continued shooting films and commercials for companies such as Arrowhead Films, Samuel Goldwyn Films, Pop Life Entertainment and Vista Films. Skowron’s last notable featured films “A Cowgirl’s Song” starring Cheryl Ladd and Savannah Lee May along with “The Farmer and The Belle” and “No Dance No Life” have brought  Kacper’s cinematography to audiences world-wide.

Many projects have tested Kacper’s ability to capture extraordinary scenes on the bottom of the ocean, peaks of the mountains and some of the deepest canyons in the world. He has shown that both small or high budget films, when rightly executed, can become an original, epic experience.

Skowron loves to collaborate with other creative minds and find visual ways of expressing ethereal and formless, human emotion. His style is continually adaptable and changing. In his words, “there are no two identical films, therefore I have to adapt to every script. I am interested in capturing an authentic and meaningful story in style that is best to each film.”
